Bridge House College Hosts Delegates from top U.K. Universities.

...holds press conference

Bridge House College Ikoyi , a sixth form college that prepares students for admission into universities abroad, and an affiliate of Brooke House College, U.K, hosted representatives from several universities abroad with the view of becoming affiliated to these schools.

BHC AffiliatesThe school, described as an exclusive co-educational international college, established to meet the aspiration of parents who wish to give their children the opportunity to study in the best foreign universities or the advantage of securing good ‘A' Level results for admission into universities abroad, commenced lectures on 5th of January 2005, and works with about 20 prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, United States of America and Canada.

The college director, Mrs. Elizabeth Osuno, took the delegates on a tour round the college premises, displaying amongst other things, a fully equipped science laboratory, fully - air-conditioned classrooms and a computer room with internet facility, sickbay, library and students' cafeteria.

BHC Press ConferenceThe college also held a press conference on the 4th of November, 2004 at the college premises. The conference, which started at 10:30am was chaired by Giles Williams of the Brooke House College, United Kingdom, Mrs. Elizabeth Osuno, the school's Director of Studies, and Mrs. Rose Omonubi, the college consultant. At the conference attended by several journalists, Williams explained that it was the first time Brooke House College , UK , would be having an affiliation with a Nigerian college. “ Brooke House College has been in existence for the past 35 years, and this is the first time we would be joining forces with a Nigerian institute. We intend to provide affordable entrance into top UK universities for Nigerian students”, he said.

Mrs. Osuno said the institution was founded to help parents overcome the difficulty of securing visas for their children to study abroad, as well as the denial of admission to students by JAMB. “We have made provision for seasoned teachers who are experts in their fields, and we have taken off with a giant stride, ensuring that the students receive the best tutoring in academics, as well as good monitoring in their moral values, which would qualify them into the best universities abroad.” She emphasized that Bridge House offers rates that are far cheaper than what it would cost to send a child abroad for college education. The quality, she said , would not drop since their work patterns are similar to the UK institutions.

For exceptionally brilliant students from less privileged homes, the college promises scholarship for two.
